Basic loader control valve flow-direction question...

Maybe a stupid question, but I don't want to assume-

Can I flip inputs for my two main (SAE16/1") inputs on the manifold, and run my main pump line into the port that runs to my backhoe, and vice versa? (please see pic)

It's pretty much just a main/secondary always live continuous loops now. So I would like to think flow direction in the block is universal, not static. But maybe there's a check valve, or something else I haven't considered?

I could only find the manifold, not a blown-up schematic.

I am doing some replumbing and would like to do this input switch.

I couldn't get the pic to load, so maybe I am not understanding what you want to do an why, but as a general rule, no, the plumbing must remain as it is.

Okay, got the pics to load, still not sure why you would want to do it. It worked as designed, why change it, what gain? Aside from that, the pressure relief is on the pressure side of the valve, if you reverser the flow, you will not have a pressure relief, and sooner or later, the explosion of hyd oil will be spectacular, assuming it doesn't blow the pump case first.

My challenge was fitting in new and bigger lines. Needed to swap out my pump, and selected this:

Lower pressure with the bigger pump, but that's factoring i's larger SAE 16 output port and 1" line. So...I've been busy running a 1" line back to the manifold, with a 1.25" return line in kind.

I'm 45'ing HP NPT elbow-fittings to snake through the loader lines and larger return hose. But's it's a tight challenge by the seat-side, whereas the outside port as more room to work with. That is moot, given the check valve present you mentioned sir. I'll just have to make it work.

That pump is SIGNIFICANTLY higher GPM and pressure than the factor pump, so now I am even more confused. Why not use an equivalent size pump to OEM and use original or original size lines?

The difference in $ was literally a few bucks, so hard for me not too. While one can always limit pressure down, more can't be made if you need it. I am also plumbing a multi-attach setup in back to run other aux hydraulics.

I have replaced all my 1/2 hoses, 1" output, 1.25" return, all new hose and fittings. All fittings rated to proper PSI (pump max 2650)

However, that being said...if there is a concern not on my radar, I would be more than interested to know lol that info!

More isn't always better in some cases which is what I believe Lavoy is implying. Hope you know, more flow requires more horsepower you don't get anything for free unless it's our government, which is another subject all together. You'll no doubt figure that out, you need to taylor the pump flow curve to horsepower curve of the prime mover, in out cases the diesel engine.
