Jd 350b power reverser help
we have a jd350b dozer that works great. Steers great and the reverser works great too. Goes up hills in reverse or forward no problem. The issue I am running into is that when I first inspect machine in morning I am always have to add at least 2-3 quarts of oil into the reverser. Then I will be using it and it magically disappears somewhere. I don’t have any major leaks it seems. Is there any places I should look or advice to where fluid is going? Is it getting pumped somewhere else that I don’t know? Thank you!

Your best bet is to drop the skid plate, pull the floor boards, front grill and the side shields if you still have them. In other words take everything you can off of the machine and give it a good pressure washing. Then look for a leak.
You have a leak somewhere at a cooler line, steering assist line if you have steering assist or a seal leaking either into the bell housing or the cavity between the reverser and the transmission. My guess is you have enough debris that it isn't showing up. Hopefully it is a cooler line or one of the rubber connections that connect the cooler lines. Those are usually what goes first.
Bottom line is you're going to have to open this thing up to find where it is leaking.

Could it be leaking in to where the steering clutch compartment is? If so, it would just be contained there. You wouldn't see it leaking. I have seen this on the 450 and the oil will eventually get on the steering clutches and cause them to slip. There are two drain holes for this compartment under the 450. Just a thought.
