450c problem

Post by altonlee » Wed Feb 18, 2026 11:18 am

Having trouble with blade hydraulic now having problem with oil in transmission and drive oil. It is pumping oil to the left side, sitting in seat, was using it and noticed problem with right track stopped to check oil and saw where oil was coming out the top plate. It does not show over full on dip stick.

What could be the problem

Thanks

The 450C has wet steering clutches. They are under pressure all the time other than when you pull the lever back to turn. When the lever is pulled back the pressure on the clutch is released. If pressure to the clutch is lost, the clutch releases and the track won't drive. That side could have a blown clutch hose or failed clutch piston seal that is spraying inside and over filling the housing, making the leak you see. Do you have the 450C Technical Manual TM1102, it has info on the steering clutch hydraulic system.
