ha 165 gas

Will a HA165 gas motor out of a 45 combine fit into my 2010 crawler.

I had read that thread over a bunch of times. The way I read it, the early HA165D and the HA145G were a direct fit. This is a HA165G that suposidly came from a 45 combine, but I can't be sure. And not noing what it came from I'm at a loss as to what year it is.
I'm I correct to assume that it will fit just for the fact that it is a HA165G?

Based on my reread of John's (Jdemaris's) information, I am not sure that your 165HA gas engine is a direct fit. it doesn't fall into the model and serial number ranges that he listed. Unfortunately the combine list that I linked to from the two-cylinder magazine has been deleted. It is possible someone on here has that magazine and could scan and post it.

You may also be able to ask John- I haven't seen his posts on here in a while but he also posts on the Yesterday's Tractor discussion forums.

Good news, it fits like a glove And so far everything from the diesel that I need to switch to this engine has been no problem. I do have to come up with the linkage parts to make the switch to gas. Anybody got an old 2010 gas donor machine?
