2010 crawler learning experiance

I bought a 2010 crawler/dozer about a year ago. I've learned so much about crawlers in the last year, I wish I had found this message board before I bought the crawler. It's been alot of fun learning this machine, and it's been a great excuse to buy more tools and shop equipment.
I need to do some work on the steering brakes/clutches this winter, the post from people that have already done this work have been a great source of info.
One question right now is there any other place on the machine that the SN# is located? the plate on the right side of the motor is missing. I have been able to figure out that the SN is below 29000.

No, on the early 2010s the engine plate is the only serial number location. You will be in the same position as me (carefully studying part numbers on exisiting parts before replacing).

You don't have a plate on the left side around the bell housing do you?
If in doubt do like Tiger said, check part numbers. Fortunatly it seems that what you would call a casting number also doubles as the part number.
