Bull Gears

Post by Digger SR » Wed Dec 29, 2010 10:38 am

Had to replace the bull gear recently...thanks Lavoy. After looking around at a few bull gears tooth count..55 and 56, and was wondering how they are put on? I have my old one at 55 with a cracked center hub and was wondering if i should keep it around just in case. Is it posible if one can not locate one, to buy a 56 tooth for the hub and just replace the gear on it with a 55 tooth?

Thanks
Jeff

At one time I had new bull gear centers available, have not checked lately to see if I can still get them. At any rate, yes the center or the ring can be changed.

Yes it is, however, there are two different centers, light and heavy. There is no part number difference, it is just a running change that Deere made because of cracking in the hub.
