450B engine in a box

Post by mot » Thu Jan 20, 2011 8:14 pm

This machine came into a shop to have its engine rebuilt and never got finished, after several years of trying to aquire it the owner died and the shop owner told me to take it. the shop owner died before i got it out so I never got to find the valve train (anyone have a spare rocker arm/ shaft assembly?). Got it home, one steer housing full of water, got levers to pull back but now one clutch pack is stuck released, will probly have to pull it apart (yippie!). Pulled the engine back apart, one sleeve got wet and pitted. The valves were also ground So I will have to replace the valves and most likely put seats in the head (I cannot find a P/N for an intake seat). When I get the engine back together I then get to find out what else quit working while sitting. This is what it looks right now (so much for the locked dash cover)' it also came with the backhoe and trailer.

And a good new year to all.
