Don't know much about GM Delco stuff but wondering if GM trucks might have a heavier v-belt and so a wider pulley.
If there's a local alternator rebuild place, you could give them a call and ask. They're probably know the answer right off the top of their head.
pictures if you do it Ken. I think the alternator on my 350 is on the way out so i would go this route also.

I don't recall seeing it, but have you tried using a link belt instead of a rubber one? The link belts and great as they can be made different sizes and adjusted as needed - remove or add links.

I'm definitely thinking about it. I did a search on here for how to get the fan belt off and I saw them mentioned. It looks like I'll have to pull the hydraulic pump to change the belt out with a normal one? My 450 has the hydraulic pump disconnect thing on it, but unless I'm missing something, there's no way to slip a belt past that without taking the hyd pump out first.

If I go with the link belts, does anyone have opinions on brands or where to buy?

I know this thread is old, but I did the 1-wire alt conversion and got the new pulley. So, can anyone please tell me what size fan belt I need to get? The stock belt is too big now.
