1010 Crawler Reverser.What is this fitting?Vent or Oil Line?

The Crawler is a 1010C. The crawler has been “customized” by it previous owner so lots of stuff has been disconnected.

I am trying to figure out what this fitting on the reverser is. Is it possibly a vent or a oil line? If its a oil line what is it supposed to be attached to?

I have looked in the parts and service manuals but cannot find anything that looks like this.

Had a look at mine and saw that it had a hex plug in it with no line coming out.
