Post by ktheaker » Wed May 23, 2012 7:14 pm

i was putting a kit in the old girl and there was a i believe a main jet that i pulled out and it had a crack in the brass base - i will look again at the diagram but it was in the centre of the carb body and was recessed and when removed i could see a small crack in it - it runs but im sure i will need to replace soon . any carb guys out there with parts for these . it was a shebler . thanks what a great spot for this old stuff

The Shebler carbs were used on everything. The Ford 8N's had them as well as many other engines on the farm. If you can not get the jet parts needed, look elsewere like a New Holland/Ford dealer or TSC. Maybe a nice tractor junkyard near you and pick up a spare carb.

try robertscarbrepair.com look up unit by serial number and then carb model number ---complete exploded view with individual parts listed , it seems that the smallest part can be ordered
