Hi Guys,
I'm going to be pulling the motor on my crawler to rectify the the issue of the main engine clutch not disengaging.
While I'm into it that far what else should I look into? It's a 5 speed with reverser and I'm unsure if the reverser actually works or not.
I have a deere service manual and that should help me along.

Since the engine is out, May as well inspect the ring gear on the flywheel. New pilot bearing and grease it before you reassemble it. I would even put a new rear main seal on as well. These are things you can only do with the engine removed.
Otherwise I dont know if you can rebuild the water pump but I would look into it. Maybe drop the pan, check for slop in your rods and crank mains. Rebuild oil pump.
There are alot of things that can be done when you take the engine off.

If you are that far, I would rebuild the reverser.

Keep in mind that the reverser oil is never changed, only kept at a certain level by the trans. If nothing else, they should be rebuilt just to get all the crud and filings out of the bottom of the case.
