Brake band
Will brake bands from a 350 JD interchange with bands on a 1010 JD ? Thanks, Greg

I should, but not a blanket statement depending on 350 series, and if the 1010 has never had the conversion to the later brake parts.

Thanks Lavoy. I haven't been in to it yet. The clutches release OK and don't slip. I have them adjusted per JD shop manual. The brakes hold good if applied before the machine moves in either direction. They work fine if applied using the shuttle. (In the slight hesitation between direction) If applied during machine motion, it doesn't want to stop a track. I'm sure they're adjusted correctly; I'm thinking the bands are shot. Any ideas? Thanks, Greg

Might be oil contamination?

If it is oil on the band, wouldn't the clutches slip? Greg

Depends on how far it has migrated to, but if not, it will get there eventually.
