40C engine clutch freeplay adjustment?

Post by Kenny » Fri Oct 05, 2012 4:22 am

Hi all, newbie here, enjoy looking at your machines. just picked up a 40C. I have ordered operator and service manuals, wondering where the engine clutch adjustment is. I seem to have no free-play, clutch is slipping or throwout bearing is hanging up.

LH side of the bellhousing towards the bottom. 1/2" nut (3/4" wrench) and a small Crescent wrench to hold the adjuster.

Thank you, I don't know how the seller got it on the trailer, some free-play makes all the difference in getting it to move. Great site, I am sure i will be contacting you about parts.
