440 ICD

Post by cfenginr » Mon Oct 15, 2012 8:51 am

Hi All,
New to the board, just acquired a 440 ICD S/N 451502. Based on what I could determine it is a 1959 production.

The crawler was acquired by a land purchase and the crawler was left by the previous owner. It has been modified with a forklift boom and forks.

It's been sitting several years and I am wondering what things I should be checking beside the obvious fluids, before I mash the starter.

Ultimately would like to convert it to a 6 way blade, please let me know if that is a pipe dream, assuming the crawler is serviceable in other respects

any input/comments would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Tom

If you just want to hear it run checking the usually fluids should be just fine.
