450C Serial Number Location

I recently purchased a 450C with no ID plate on the battery box. I read a post earlier about another serial no. location at the rear of the dozer, but have not found it using SEARCH. I have looked and can't find any stampings on the rear, don't want to scrape all the paint off looking. Any help? thanks. Fatoldboy

The serial number should be stamped behind where the original tag was mounted. If its an older model, look on the panel behind your heels when your sitting on the seat.

Thanks for the reply. I can see where the ID plate was, didn't see any indication of anything stamped on the sheet metal. I thought there was a post about another location on the frame at the rear. I'm 370 miles from the machine right now and won't see if for another week or so.
