Gas cap

Post by mapaduke@yahoo.com » Thu Dec 27, 2012 8:39 am

Speaking of gas caps I see a lot of people using a non venting cap on tanks that are not vented. I believe that Deere intruded the vented tank late 58 so from then on a flat cap would be correct. But in everyone's defense all the John Deere photographs including the owners Manuel shows the tractors with the flat cap??? and not the tall vented one. :?

those caps are vented. The vent is under the cap to keep out the rain.

From all my research
I have seen them on the Dubuque tractors only.
