Air filter clamp

Post by bob lavoie » Mon Mar 11, 2013 11:29 am

I have a 440ic sn 448280. I need the clamp that hold the oil bath onto the bottom of the air cleaner assembly. Deere says its an obsolete part and cant get it. Found a steiner part number of JDS541 but it says for sn prior to 448000. Any got any info?

I will go right now and see if they match on the early and later ones.

The bolts are the same on all 3 440's here early and later ones.
Parts book show a split but doesn't separate the bolt out from the clamp.
Could be different size clamp with the same size bolt.

Air cleaner is larger diameter on the later crawlers. I stock the Steiner clamp, it is too small.

Did you find a clamp?
I found a guy with some new old stock parts.
He may have one if you need.
