1010 fuel tank isolators

Post by JimG » Sun Mar 24, 2013 1:39 pm

Anyone know the thickness of the fuel tank isolators. Went to remove the fuel tank to clean and flush it and pop out a big dent and realized that nothing was holding the tank to the machine but the fuel lines.

look at the radiator mounts they are the same as fuel tank mounts....form deere they are about $30 each (last ones i got from deere were junk broke in no time) when i got new ones for my 2010 rad (same ones as 1010) i got them from McMasterCarr i believe the part number is 9213K25 it is a better mount then JD and are $3 only thing you have to get new nuts (if you have the old ones) because the McMasterCarr ones are coarse thread JD are fine thread ...McMasterCarr also has a better one that made with silicone that have a much better temp and resistance ratting part # 4403K422 $9 each
2010 with 622 dozer with mod. 35 ripper and a 2010 with 622 dozer bought in 1969 and a 2010 loader with drott and mod. 36 ripper

Thanks JT. Gonna have to check my rad mounts also before I order. I was just going to sandwich a piece of rubber between the tank and mount with a through bolt but would rather do it right. Definitely wasn't paying what deere wanted for those things!

Check the radiator ones sooner rather than later. My uncle ended up spending a few hundred getting the radiator in his 1010 re-cored after it shifted back on a bump and the fan ate it. The stock bonded rubber mounts had separated just like your tank ones.

I re-designed the lower radiator mounts to be a welded pin set down through a rubber bushing in a hole like most other radiators use. That way the rubber could completely disappear and the radiator can't shift back into the fan.
