oil to valve train on 440ic
just rebuilt 2 cyl gas engine on 440ic. wanted to prime oil pump before installing in machine, tried turning flywheel by hand hoping to lubricate everything before fireing up, no oil to valve train, maybe can't turn fast enough by hand to get enough psi?. any thoughts. great forum
It takes a long time to get oil to the valve train, it is just a trickle. Pour oil on rocker shaft, arms, valves and such, and you will be good to go.

thanks guys
will install engine the way it is . one other question, replaced engine pressure plate and clutch disk, any certain way the disk goes in, bigger spline hub towards transmission or towards engine, right now it is toward transmission, just want to make sure it is o.k before i do any more work . thanks for all the help
Wide portion to the transmission otherwise it will drag on the flywheel. Remember to set the fingers with the JD7 gauge prior to mounting the engine back on the crawler.
