1010 serial#/Date

Post by tommyboy2 » Sun Apr 07, 2013 6:31 pm

I have a John Deere 1010 crawler the push arm for the blade is mounted on the outside of the tracks, I believe this is known as a forrestry model.
There is no id plate on the side of the engine, are there any other ways to determine year and ser.#?
It does have a reverser and the gearshift is located on the floor.
E-mail me a tomelhardt@yahoo.com
Thanks

Outside blade is just an outside blade, some people prefer them for woods use over an inside arm blade.
If the tag is gone, most likely it has had an engine swap, so no way to determine serial number, but based on features, we can narrow it down to a give range most likely.
