seem's I have to adjust the left band brake on the Mc but can't get on it, linkage is in the way, do I have to pull the f-drive off ?

I believe you can use a Crow foot tool on it to loosen the bolt. I would duct tape it to the extension. Don't want to lose in there.

Brake adjustment is from the top, half inch wrench and screwdriver if you do both. Underneath is clutch adjustment, and yes, they are a pain. I buy cheap 1/2" box end wrenches, cut the ends off and weld them to a piece of rod you can bend to whatever shape is necessary.
