Realistic Lifting Capacity for a Factory 420 or 440 Loader ?

Post by BigV » Sun Oct 06, 2013 11:15 am

Realistically, what is the lifting capacity of 420 with factory loader or 440 with factory loader ?

I've found one of each, what I'd be doing is adapting my pallet forks to fit.

I'm wondering what the safe lifting capacity is ? Keep in mind, I'm not planning on putting something on the 2nd Floor of my barn, I'm more interested in finding out how much I can lift off the ground maybe 24" and move.

I'm wondering if I can move my 18" lathe with 440 loader.

I also have people bring me heavy stuff and where I've moved my equipment on my property, I don't have a gantry crane anymore.

Dead lift on a #90 loader is 2700lbs, 831 is 3,000 or over. I would believe this is at the hinge pin. I have carried 1000+ round bales with a 420 and 90 loader with a spear out past the cutting edge of the bucket, and you can run around comfortably with that load that far out. From my experience, whatever they will lift, they will comfortably carry.
