420 Question ......
420 Question ......
Working on my 'newly aquired' 420 today. Took the bucket off the loader to work on the front. Looks like the centerline of the engine is about 3 inches to right of the midpoint between the tracks. Am I seeing things ??

Hi,
That is correct. The crawler is made from the wheel tractor, and the wheel tractor engine is offset so one can easily see the row of crops one is driving over. This is especially handy when one is using center mounted cultivators.
Not something one would do with the crawler, of course! But, it does come in handy with the 62 blade as it can drift the blade frame up against the grille guard when into heavy pushing.
