440 repurposed hydro lines?
I'm about to take the original 3pt off of my 440ic and was wondering if I could just cap the hydraulic supply and return lines to be used for a different auxiliary attachment later(ex. Hydro winch or backhoe etc)? Would the stock pump be adequate or would I be better off running an add on pto pump? I'm leaning more towards future winch usage than backhoe etc.
Got wood??
Depending on the type of pump you could have disasterous results if you cap off the lines, better to tie them together so oil can flow.

I assume you mean at the valve? If so, you are fine, if not, as has been said, you can not cap the live line from the pump to the valve.

Yes. I was thinking either at the valve or even maybe just capping the lines from the valve. Just un screwing them from the 3pt cylinder and plugging them with a plug fitting. That way the lines are still ran and ready to go with what ever attachment I choose to run off it. Think that'll work?

That will work fine, if you happen to hit the hyd lever, it is going to make a loud squeal.
