2010 track adjuster seals....grease coming out bypass hole.

Post by Kleinboy3 » Sat Apr 12, 2014 8:53 pm

Anyone else have this issue...when putting grease back in to tighten up tracks...grease just shoots out hole in bottom of adjuster, not around seals to be clear. Any ideas why?

Either the bleed bolt is lose OR did you take the bolt all the way out? if you did go look for the ball bearing that goes under the bolt or get a new one that's the "valve" that holds the grease in your not the first to pull and lose that ball all you do to release is loosen the bolt don't take it all the way out ... And I see your new here welcome to the site

You are correct. I did in fact take the bolt all the way out. Would the ball have came out the hole or would it be in the cylinder some where? Thanks again.

It would be pushed out by the gease and you probably tossed it out when you cleaned up the grease. I think it's just a steel ball about 5/16"-3/8". gregjo1948

Thanks guys...got her back together and pushed some dirt today...
Pushing dirt with that old girl just makes me smile...

I would like to find someone to tune in the fuel system a bit better than what it is....new injection pump and nozzles and still not just right...a smoother hand at timing it I think would help or someone with a lot more hands on experience....lol

Nice looking 2010 its the later model.... I see has 622 dozer blade... nice pads chains look wore pretty good from what I can see where the front idlers are...rock guard are still on it but no sprocket guards .. looks like it has primer pump is it working? had the dozer long? and did you find the ball or get a new one? HLR trans? also see it had a rops/shade on it once

Yes primer works good....I had it about a year or so...had to rewire complete dozer and all new fuel lines too...I found the ball, but naturally after I bought a new one....lol...yes it has her transfer and I really like it so far...I took top off cause it was broke in several places and I am in process of finding something better for it...just need to address fuel pump and timing issue first....and I was told this was a 1965 model..not real sure

The serial number data plate should still be on your machine- left side bellhousing rearward of the engine on the flat spot. It might be covered with grime or paint but if you find the serial number you can confirm the year of your 2010.
