420 loader battery box??

Post by gus » Tue Apr 15, 2014 12:08 pm

I haven't started working on my 420 loader yet, but I'm wondering what's the best location for the battery.

It presently has a cobbled thing on the side. Since I really lean towards a nice clean tractor, this has to go. I want some useable but also "factory looking".

Photos of what you've done???

If you have a #90 loader, battery goes in normal spot, no battery sheetmetal, turn the battery tray 180 deg., battery comes out on the brake pedal side.

Thanks Lavoy, I've never seen one that way. When I'm closer to getting it together I'll have a lot better idea. I bought the tractor in a bunch of pieces so I have no idea what it should have, just been looking at the pile of welded junk on the side of the frame.
