Hello every one how do you tell how worn a set of tracks are?

Take a look at this thread- the first couple of links to the Crawler Heaven site are now defunct but the link towards the bottom of my post (tractorparts) is very helpful. There is a number of inspection points that are mentioned but the really helpful document is the undercarriage PDF that Stan links to from that site. It is basically a primer on undercarriage. The JD service manuals also have a good discussion of undercarriage.

The undercarriage functions as a set so you will want to check it all but the easiest to check components are the rail height, pin/bushing wear, sprocket wear, and roller wear. There is a gauge you can purchase from a member of this site (he also advertises on EBay) that helps to measure those components and is specific to the 1010:
