Not familiar with 2010. Seems like on the 1010, the pump is run off the crankshaft. gregjo1948

If you mean the rear mounted pump, I would guess the weights have to come off. If it cracked from freezing, you must have a lot of moisture in the system, better get that out of there if you can.

I don't believe the counterweights on a 2010 HAVE to come off to remove/replace the rear mounted Cessna pump , but you won't have much room to work if you don't. The main problem is you have to come rearward with the pump towards the counterweights. I am working on mine right now and it is much easier to access it without the rear attachments. It's not too much of a chore to remove the counterweights (just two pins on the top part of the toolbar bracket) if you have some means of hoisting the counterweight bracket off of the "hooks" at the bottom of the bracket.

Is there a reason you want to try and weld the pump up? I believe they are readily available from aftermarket sources- if you want to read more just search for the keyword "Cessna" and the author "jdemaris".

Hydraulic pump mounting bracket

Post by 304thomas55 » Tue Jun 03, 2014 5:00 pm

I have welded this mount using E7018 due to the bracket being cast steel. Preheat (100f+)with propane torch, tack weld both sides. then stitch weld it. Grind off to a rounded weld. If it's just cracked, but not into, drill stress relief at each end of crack before welding or preheat
