I heated 350 track adjuster an keep pumping grease in with more heat it came apart the next day. The rod was rusted bad but the end where the seals go is what matters.

I replaced front idler on a 450 last month. I got after marked roller complet 750$. Evey thing was shot because the track adjuster broke out where it was welded I fixed that to.
Ed in N y was going to ship me a used Idle but for 750$ new after market we went that way.

When I took my 350 down for clutches an brakes . I found there was more movement in the bull gear then what I liked , eveything was ttght an bearing where good. It hasent came through the casting yet .

I have 1970 350 and rebuilt both steering clutch. the left side squaws after it warms up. I keep haveing to mess with the brake band . I back it off an the noise stops but then I'm pulling way to far back , It turns very good but the noise isn't . I like the mirrow an light idea. I'm thinking there ...

Thank you I went back an looked the 450 over. Evey thing needs to be removed up top to remove the steering. The 450 im working is a very nice machine it has no reverse or power steering. the clutches are runied with lots of oil. They dont want to fix it because it still steers sometimes. I might can...

I guess muridic acid would loosen it then wash it out with water good then tear it down an would be clean

Im repaireing 450 dozer with dry clutches . There is 3/4 plug on both finals houseing on the out board side up high. What are those plugs for? The clutch houseing is oil soaked bad . I have had good luck greaseing the zerts with niddle, it screws on the end of the grease gun it puts out a fine streem of grease the preasure is still there but the volume isn't . I have been getting away with a few squirts evey so often for the rollers.

The squalling was from the clutches working with out the brake engageing, Made some brake adjustments and it spins like a top. I know the brake an clutches work together, couple turns in with the 3/8 bolt made a big difference.

The power steering valve moves in furthur on the left side an it's leaking oil . The steering lenkage adjustment looks the same, I'm going to tighten the lenkage up and take the travel out of the left side and may be it's a easy fix on the cylender or hose leaking .Lavoy thank You.
