1010 diesel crank case oil capacity

i purchased a basket case 1010 diesel and it does not have a dip stick and im going to dump the oil and try and cranck it over and see if i can get it to light up . what is the capacity of the crank case and is the stick the same as gas or diff, i do have a gasser already and it would make the check easy .thanks

yes gas and diesel are the same unless one is very early and the other is the later model.... does yours have a 1 1/2" tube for the stick? if so there is one for 2010 on ebay for $15.... 2010 /1010 same dip stick

engine oil capacity should be 6 quarts with filter
