I have a 76 jd dozer...the left pedal has increasingly fell farther and farther to the floor with now almost no brake....I tried the adjusting bolt, which made the pedal stiffer, but I lost all braking power after doing that....I really don't know how the braking system even works on the dozer. I followed the linkage to what im guessing is a bypass valve for the track hyd.
does the dozer have pads? and a caliper? if anyone has pics on how to put new brakes on, and instructions, id greatly appreciate it....really need to get the dozer going again.
the right side is fine also..........
76 jd dozer, having left brake problems....
Not quite enough info, but I will assume you have a 350 with a reverser. The LH pedal is the clutch pedal, nothing to do with braking or steering. All steering brake control in done with the steering levers.

Okay, way past me, I will move the thread to the late model forum, you will get more answers there.
