Hydraulics for a plow- John Deere MC

Post by catmatt » Tue Apr 29, 2008 2:16 pm

Looking to get a #44 JD plow for my MC crawler. The plow is hydraulic, however my MC only has the tool carrier hydraulics between the tracks. Can I splice into the hydraulic lines easly to make this work? Thanks

You can, but unless you have shut off valves to the integral cylinders, they will still operate as you are trying to control the plow as well.

you could tap into the pressure feed line and plumb in another valve going to a set of remotes on the back of the crawler.

But like Lavoy said, a set of shut-off valves on the tool carrier cylinders would be a less expensive way to go.
