New to the ADDICTION

Post by Griff » Wed Nov 05, 2008 10:57 pm

Some of you may have seen my other post, I just wanted to throw some pictures in here. Its only been a few day and I think I may be addicted. Not restoring her to like new condition, just want to bring her back into the workforce again. I'll post pictures along the way, hope some of you enjoy. This is my "new" 1972 350B....

Had to fix my first hydraulic leak before I could even take her off the trailer. May not seem like much but its a first step.

Getting a nice steam cleaning before she goes into the shop (courtesy of my 12 year old niece) Heave equipment sauna.

Finally coming off the trailer

In her new home, and already got her left shoe off on the first day
Image
She started to put up a fight so I had to take out the torch, lucked out though and was able to get them out without damaging anything but the actual bolts, threads in the track frame look great
Image
I may have got carried away, but it was a lot of fun and great learning

Hope ya'll enjoy the pictures, I'll take more once I get the stubborn final drive cover off

Thanks, I actually got the track adjuster rod out after heating it up and using a huge monkey wrench and a bench vise, I have already ordered a new (used) one though. I was able to free the clutch up using a wire wheel, wish I would of taken pictures, it was completed rusted into one big piece. I should get the rest of the parts I need on tuesday. Hopefully I'll be moving some dirt/clay on thanksgiving. I wish I could do a complete restore but I am putting her to work in a wooded area so that will have to wait till after I get another one.
