They think it will go up some tonight, and maybe drop tomorrow according to NWS. No one else is really taking that figure, there have been problems with the NWS and the red in the past. Neither city is declaring a crest for at least another few days. They are looking at upstream water and still sticking to their higher forecast. We have 3-7" of snow coming here along with high winds, so that will not help matters. It is really cold for this time of year, that is helping the water situation, but not the fight itself. The biggest fear now is the incoming system changing to rain, or another system coming later with rain. They are figuring high water for 5-8 days, so that is hard on temporary dikes, so everyone is on dike watch now.
We did have two deaths, both heart attacks due to exertion is what was said. About 50 injuries so far, but for the amount of people and equipment moving around, and what they are doing, that is almost miraculous.
