Aftermarket tachometer? Are they available for 1010 Crawlers? If so, please let me know. Any help would be appreciated.

There are aftermarket Tachometers available that are called "diesel tachs" that use a sensor attached to the alternator. I just got one off eBag for my '92 Dodge CTD, it is made by "AutoGauge" and is only a 0-6000 dial. Most likely will not work with a generator. You would need a photo-tach to calibriate it.

But, many electrons were terribly bothered.

Yeah, that type of diesel tach needs a tap put into the alternator's stator. No stator in a generator.shinnery wrote:There are aftermarket Tachometers available that are called "diesel tachs" that use a sensor attached to the alternator. 92 Dodge shouldn't needed it though. 92 Dodge Cummins is the first year that already has a built in tach sensor in front of the engine - at least the intercooled version does.
