My machinist called last night and said do you want the good news or the bad? The good was he saved the crankshaft. The bad was the head is cracked between the valves on #2. So now I need to find a 420 head.
I see heads with valves and seats in the $400 range, I assume these are from China, are they any good? If I get a used head I may be in the same position . Any suggestions?

I put one of the aftermarket heads on a customer 420 a few months ago, nice head, nothing wrong with it. They do not include valves or any hardware, only guides.
I have the heads available as well as valve train kits.
