6 volt lights

Post by Swawpy » Mon Jul 06, 2009 5:47 pm

Anybody know where to find a cheap set of round 6 volt lights? Somewhere around 6" or so. All I can find are 12 volt, and ebay's are $75 and up for a pair.

Thanks.

If you just want lights and are not looking for restoration quality, the emergency exit lighting from many fire alarm systems was 6 volts. These usually come in cheap plastic housings. They are the lights that light the hallways in a fire emergency. Older models have incandescent bulbs and if a local alarm company recently took some out of an installation, they may give them to you for nothing.

I guess I was assuming you want original style, if not, any farm supply store most likley has them on the shelf, they are not hard to come by.

The are readily available, check with a local farm supply store, if you strike out, let me know, I can get them too.
