throw out bearing face ?

Just to be sure before I go any further, which way does the throw out set in the assembly? just checking.... thanks Randy

Randy,
If it is a main clutch throwout bearing you press the bearing onto the carrier with the polished surface out and index the scribe mark on the bearing with the notch in the carrier.
The steering clutch throwout bearings are obvious as to which way they go on thier carriers.

I have a 1010 and I'm working on the left steering clutch, which way for the t/o bearing to face?

The flat machned surface of the throwout bearing presses against the pressure plate fingers.
