420 quill
hello, i just put grease in the ball bearings, all new springs and throw out bearings and tubes in my 420. i was going to button it all back up when i read on here about seals being behind the quill, what holds the quill in after unbolting it? and what keeps gear oil from the rearend from leaking by the quill? does the quills have big o rings around them? thanks ,,Eric
Eric , there is a gasket under the quill .

seals
thank you lavoy, i will call wednesday and order the seals and gaskets if you have those to. hopfully you can throw some ambition in the box also,, thanks. Eric
Eric , I have been working on several other projects , I bought a lathe so I could repair the drive axles seal surface and that has been a slow job . I am ordering parts slowly for it . Once the other projects are done then I can get restarted on the crawler again .
I have also made several drivers for various seals and bushings . Having the lathe has been great , it has almost paid for itself by saving me money and making money from projects that other people needed done .
