need help track came off

I was out using my crawler. should have added some grease to the tensioner. The track came off the front idler to the inside. How do I get the track back on the idler. I have never done it before. I do have a little back hoe and was thinking of trying to put it back around the idler. But how does one get the track back on the front idler? I can't find it in the operator or service manual.

Any help would be appreciated.

I too had it happen because I didn't check the track tension. It happened in a compost pit so it wasn't pleasent. But anyway, the track was obviosly too loose, so it could jump the wheel. We dragged the crawler out of the pit with a 175 International very slowly so as to not make matters worse and then took pressure that was in the adjuster out and pulled the front idler back with a chain hoist, then repositioned the track, which even on small machines like the 350B isn't all that easy, but doable without any more than a little muscle, lotta a cussing for being a dumb shit in the first place , and a big crowbar.

Yeah I did feel stupid for not going to get some grease. I had four grease guns all empty. But then after I fixed the right track I tensioned the right left track and started working again. Not sure why the left track came off now. I may have a bigger issue. But I must have blown a seal in the tensioner she was leaking grease rather than taking up slack. it is getting to be quite the project!

I have a set of pictures in the "Show and Tell" forum if you need to look at how to reposition. If trying to not split the track you will need retract the front idler as far as it will go and will still probably be a tight fit over the front idler.

Throwing track to the inside is a pain because the track wedges up against the frame and you can risk bending track pads if you muscle it out.
