Weak JD 350C

Post by Acepilot » Tue Nov 03, 2009 10:13 am

I have a JD 350C - it would not move, now it will move but has no pushing power. Steers fine, reverser works fine,(little jerky). Fluids are full but I do not know if any of the tran-final drive or reverser filters have been changed. Please give me some direction.
Thanks,
Acepilot

Several things to check are: make sure there is no trash, sticks or limbs keeping the clutch lever from returning all the way. Replace filter if you do not know the condition of it. install guage and check reverser pressure. I had the same issue on my 350c. I found that my reverser would only build about 50psi. It should be around 120psi. You can look at this post to see what I found when I went into my reverser. The problem was with the clutch arm in the control valve being worn. You can see in the pics how it was worn and I just made a new one. It now has good pushing power.

Thank you. I need to post the rest of my pics. I have it running and it is very strong, I still need to get the bellypan painted and put back on and the winch needs a lot of work. I guess that will be a winter time project.
