450c shifting
450c shifting
My 450c powershifter shifts a little hard and when you put it in reverse it sometimes takes a little while for it to go. I does fine in forward gears but sometimes I put it in reverse and it sits there for random amount of time. Just wondering if anybody had this problem before. I have heard you can adjust the clutch and then adjust the powershifter. Any pointers would be helpfull
I would suspect it is in the power shift it's self don't try two hard on the oil dump adjustment .You will probably have to bring it back into adjustment after so mark your spot or remember the turns .Your reverse clutch pack may be going .What is your pressure like in the transmission when going from forward to reverse and back?. Digitup.
Put a pressure gauge on the transmission and this is what its doing. When it is cold the dozer shifts good in forward and reverse. The pressures are running about 155psi in neutral at about 1800 rpms. After it runs a while shifting into reverse gets sluggish. It takes it a while to shift into reverse. When shifting into reverse pressures drop down into the 30s and stay there until it finally shifts into reverse then it goes back to 155psi.
