350B Steering Clutch specifications?

Post by GlennP » Thu Apr 22, 2010 5:20 pm

I bought a 350B crawler loader last year and the steering clutch on the left side is bad. The previous owner gave me a few boxes of parts which includes two packages of fibre steering clutch disks (T20790). I have no idea if they are new or worn out. They look to be in good shape but wonder how you tell if they are worn. The thickness of every disk (2 sets of 8) is exactly 4mm. Is this within the specification or are they worn out? I am about to start the repalcement of the clutch disks and don't want to use worn parts. Thanks!

Would .155 be the lower limit (worn out)? How thick is a new disk? Thanks!

New is .155 or up, worn is .151 I think.
