440 ICD on Craiglist- Omaha, Nebraska

Post by Tigerhaze » Mon Nov 08, 2010 5:13 pm

It is in Nebraska and I have no direct knowledge of it. I just saw it on Craigslist- doesn't state if it is a loader or dozer:

"Clutch may need a little adjustment" is a metaphor for $500 per side plus a few days labor. Gil

Nothing against this guy in particular, but I just love those "Just needs a little adjustment" ads. If it just needs a little adjustment, do it, and don't even mention it.

Lavoy,

I was holding back but you kick the door open.

How about a 50 year old crawler with "believe to be low hours" and an "80% or better U/C"? Now that right there is a true find!!!!
How does one "believe" low hours? I always thought that was why they put an hour meter on them. I guess I do not possess that special power to guess at the hours on an engine by looking at it.

I would be curious as to how he measured the U/C, if at all?

It's funny how these machines get put on the marketplace.

I just noticed a Craigslist ad for a 450B loader with dozer blade and bucket- the owner states "450 B John Deere Track Loader Turbo Diesel with Dozer Blade and Bucket, Good Solid Machine, Runs great just too small for what Im needing to do if interested contact Tony "

Anyhow I know that the onwer just bought this machine at auction a couple of weeks ago because I was at the same auction and it is a very distinctive machine. The price is now $2K more than a couple of weeks ago
