There's a statistic info area at the bottom right corner of the index page that tells this one, along with several other things.

Some of these almost 2,500 users should need pins and bushings for the pre 1960 crawlers, don't you think?

I can't tell. Looks like the 'members' option is turned off, probably to keep spammers from making unwanted use of the data.
If it were active, it ought to be along the top right of each screen where we have 'messages', 'profile', 'FAQ', etc....

I expect that a lot of us do. I know I could use a new set myself. They were last changed in 1966 and then turned around 1980. In 1966, they were toast as the original owner used it to clean dairy barns and the acids ate them up. In 1980, that would have been after dad completed all the major projects and just before we sold off the dealership.
But, as always noted around here, turning the pins and bushings shorten the rails back up, but do nothing at all about side slop. I could certainly stand to lose the side slop, for sure.
However, if I bought a set, what would I do with them? I no longer have a track press as that went away in 1982 when the dealership was sold. What was left of it was auctioned off around 1990, so I have no idea where the press got to. Probably a scrap yard.
I know of no one around here that does tracks that small. I have asked around, as I would have bought a new set of pins and bushings from Lavoy years ago if there were a place to get them pressed at.
And, that is the major problem. We could group buy enough pins and bushings to get them all right. But, we're all over the map and where are the track shops that can still do these? I'm not open to the idea of a makeshift track press. I've seen what can happen using one, and surely do not want to cobble one together.
So, as it is my sloppy rails can be used for decades yet at the rate I actually use the machine. If I wind up with a major project to do, I'll simply get a newer machine to do it with, rented if need be.
If I really got all hot and bothered for better rails on the 420, then I'd opt to stick a set of brand-new 350 rails on it. But, more likely, I'd get those new 350 rails and put them onto a 350 and keep the 420 as it is.
