My new toy to get me active again.
I bought this last week for tractor shows. I have some parts on order. Not sure what I will do about the grill. The cylinders need to be replaced.
I would like it if Lavoy would clarify the variatins of the #'s 61. 62. & the 602?
I have mad notions of putting a 6 way blade on it as I will be using it to maintain my 1000 foot driveway.

I understand the 602 is an outside mount, manual angle blade (no tilt) that at least some 440ICs came with.
That is an interesting grille!

But, many electrons were terribly bothered.

LOL a butchered grille. Apparently the prior owner had no ability to find a replacement mesh so they hacked the grille.
I dont know if I should replace it or let it be as it has such interesting character.

That grille would look right at home if that crawler was ever in a Mad Max movie!
61 blade is inside arm, single cylinder lift, angle only.
62 blade is inside arm, dual cylinder, angle and tilt
602 is outside arm, dual cylinder, angle only, although when put on late 1010's, I have seen them with tilt components, but I am pretty sure they were called a different model number.

You are right, the manual angle and tilt blade with outside push arms is called 616 (and in 2010 it is 626). This info is found on JD operators manual OM-U15835ULavoy wrote: 602 is outside arm, dual cylinder, angle only, although when put on late 1010's, I have seen them with tilt components, but I am pretty sure they were called a different model number.

Intresting fact is that in John Deere-LANZ 1010 the 602 blade is called 624. There are exactly same parts on both of these (I have manuals/catalogs...)
There are quite a few other differences also between US and Germany built 1010 and 2010 tractors.
