hello to all, who enjoy life at a slow crawl.i bought the 420 this past weekend at a farm estate sale.it was purchased in 1960 with 30 hrs for the farm,the tach quit at 1434 hrs not so long ago.battery was hooked backwards,crankcase 2 quarts low ,hydraulics 2 quarts low,rear sparkplug was fouled almost beyond recognition.some rollers with oily residue,a noisy reverser,and a slower than desirable front blade with little to no down pressure.other than those few issues a fine peice of machinery.the usual creaks and squeaks,drips,and flutters.and somewhere in the future the 2 cyl bark you can expect.
