I purchase a 9300 backhoe 4 my 350 crawler, when I hook up the hosesb it will stall the cat . Remove valve PAC took it to hyd shop, tested found nothing wrong. Reinstall valve PAC had my buddy hook up to it with his 450 and stalls his cat. Hoses and quick coupler all check out ok.remove valve PAC again took back to hyd shop,they now think iTs not compatable for this cat. They say I need a piston pump to run it.i thing they are shooting in the dark. Can anybody help me Thanks so much. Mike

My guess is your hoe attachment was originally strapped to the back of a wheel loader or skidder which have piston pump hydraulic pumps and has a closed centre valve. You will need to install the correct open centre valve.

Mike, one important thing on what Ken mentioned. You will not want to hook the hoe up to your crawler again until you check the configuration because if it is a closed center valve block, you risk blowing the hydraulic pump on your 350. You're lucky it just stalled your engine.

If you do some seraching of the archives on here, you can find a post that desribes how to tell a closed center from open center valve block arrangement. I know I linked to it recently on here so shouldn't be too hard to find, in case you don't have the service manual.
