Have a right side clutch that has recently been replaced prior to getting 350 that is intermittently squealing/slipping, mostly when first engaging.
Have adjusted the clutches/brake several times and verified that the throwout is not riding the fingers. It also stops forward motion and stops on a hill equally with levers applied.
Is it possible that the person who installed it did not adjust fingers properly or even left out a plate to make it too loose, causing slippage? Or could something else cause it.
Can the fingers be adjusted (loosen?) without pulling the finals,to tighten clutch pack up?
Thanks Lindy

It is highly likely that they did not adjust the fingers, you would not believe how many people I tell to adjust the fingers, but won't buy the gauge to do so.
It could also be an adjustment or some other assembly issue. Unfortunately pressure plate adjustment or any assembly issues will require pulling the finals.
If the crawler stops altogether when driving, that could be an issue forward of the steering clutches, so do some digging before you pull finals.

Had to be that it needs pulling, can't have an engineer design it to work on easy.
It is definitely slipping at the s clutch location, looks like a rainy, snowy, crummy weather project to do in the winter. I'll have to read up in the manual,i'm sure doing it the first time will take a few hours. Whats funny is that it pulls ok going up 45%+ grades on river bluffs, but slips when first engaged.

Also make sure you have enough freeplay so it is not the throwout bearing riding on the fingers.

I have full power to the left side, but right side will screech/slip sometimes when first engaged, let off and reengage and it pulls. Checked TO during adjustment and made sure clearance pin was under lever stop when adjusting it. It doesn't touch fingers, something is wrong with or under the pressure plate.
Maybe they used Chinese parts when it was redone
I did add IR dye to various fluids, including the trans as I was tracking down leaks which were loose bolts,ps, and reverser hoses, I'll check inside housing to see if it turned yellow. Finals were full when drained so I don't think oil would be coming from them to the clutches.
