I have been reading this forum for quite a while as a guest until now. I recently bought a 350C dozer. Now I am getting around to fixing a few small things. My question this time is:
How do I change the tachometer cable? I disconnected it at the tachometer and started it. The cable does not turn. I tried to pull the cable out but it will only come up about 1". At the engine end, it is very close between the engine and firewall. Is there an easy way to change the cable and housing or do I need to remove the firewall?

Hello and welcome aboard! 
I have changed these by working around the fire wall. A real pain in the butt!! But after a couple of times of doing this, I learned that taking the fire wall loose and moving it up and back enough to facilitate the removal from the engine end was much easier. It will save your sanity believe me.
